TREASURE TAVERN, Orlando, Florida - Opened July 2010
Conceived, created and oversaw the complete design and remodeling within the Pirate’s Dinner Adventure entertainment complex in Orlando, FL of a new and unique dinner show concept: TREASURE TAVERN, for which he oversaw all aspects of budget planning, construction, operation and management, show creation and design, costuming, contracting of artists, theatre design elements and decoration.
BAROSS ACROBATIC DANCERS TOURING SHOW (1980 - 2000)
Created a modern acrobatic dance attraction group of 6-8 people with a repertoire of over 22 numbers from Jazz dance to Can-Can, Russian dance to classical adagio, Hip Hop and Tap. Booked in top class venues all over Europe and Egypt (Hilton, Cairo; Varieté, Basel; Costa Cruise Lines; Mediterranean Shipping Company; Festival Cruise Lines; Classic International Cruises; Music Hall, Zurich; Various Casinos in Italy)
1993 to 1998 LA VIE EN ROSE, Berlin, Germany
Partner at La Vie en Rose Revue Theatre in Berlin. Created and produced show in its entirety, designing and incorporating magic, acrobatics, stunts and comedy into a complete production. Managed the operational day-to-day running of the theatre including marketing and advertising, food management as well as the hiring of all staff.
1973 to 1993 SCALA BARCELONA, Barcelona, Spain
BAROSS ACROBATIC DANCERS
Contracted as Principal Acrobatic Adagio Duo – Donna Lee & Baross. While working at La Scala he created an 8 person Acrobatic Dance Group for La Scala Barcelona in order to fulfill the creative ideas of the “Riba Brothers”. Later created and choreographed groups for SCALA MADRID and SCALA GRAN CANARIAS, giving birth to the BAROSS ACROBATIC DANCERS. Total of 32 people working under his direction. Responsible for all acrobatic and acrobatic dance choreography, special acrobatic effects – underwater swimming shows, aerial stunt work, stunt horse riding and fight/stunt choreography. Had an exclusive contract with LA SCALA in Spain until 1993.
1972 to 1980 ACROBATIC / DANCE DUO – Donna Lee & Baross
Created a successful Acrobatic Dance Adagio Attraction - Touring Europe in the most exclusive locations including: Hotel Savoy, London; Tivoli, Copenhagen with Count Basie; Casino Loews, Monte Carlo; Casino San Remo, Italy and many more.
1966 to 1972 FLYING TRAPEZE
On graduating from the Hungarian State Artist School specializing in Flying Trapeze.* Toured Japan with Hungarian State Circus* Toured Germany with Franz Althoff Circus* Toured Switzerland with Circus Knie* Toured Italy and Brazil for 2 years with Orlando Orfei Circus
IMRE BAROSS, an entrepreneurial global entertainment executive with over 40 years experience in all aspects of show management, from conception to performance to operation. In the areas of Entertainment & Show Production he has been responsible for the launch and execution of new creative ideas to be incorporated into all areas of pre-existing shows as well as new shows. He has extensive experience in processes of contracting and management of all artists, as well as budget creation and management.
Most recently he has decicated the past 14 years to Pirate's Dinner Adventure in Orlando, Florida.
Mr. Baross accomplished significant improvements in the technical, musical, special effects, stunt, costuming and talent management departments, including: design and installation of new sound and lighting systems; Rigging and re-designing of stage for new artistic numbers; Upgrading pyrotechnical elements. In addition, Mr. Baross oversaw and arranged the writing of new musical scores, their final recording and incorporation within the show.
The driving force behind our success is Imre Baross, designer, creator, producer, director and choreographer.
